So...is anyone keeping a calendar yet? I'm trying to plan the year for our new DH team. So far I've only found the dates for nutten, and the Open. I hear Snowshoe will be 4 races with no WW for 09. Anyone have those dates in hand? I need all races within 10-12hrs of NC.

We will be putting on another Race sometime in Sept to Oct down here in Greenville SC at Paris Mt. This past years race was our first there and a blast!!! The ones that attended had lots of fun. We had over 550+ spectators that day too. It made you feel like you were at a National back in the late 1990's. True 2min DH course that makes you feel like you went down a 4+ min course. It will work you. We plan to have a lot mre Racers this coming year and add XC racing that weekend too.

Whiteface Mountain Bike Park will host the 4th Annual 5 K Downhill on 8-30-09.
Once again we will have a $5,000.00 pro cash purse with women receiving equal pay outs, and a dh course over 8 minutes long (for all but a few).

I know that the guys running the Massanutten race last year said that they would love to have an end of series race as well. Anyone have any confirmation on that?
That place was the best resort that I have ever been to for racing. The perks that the riders got around the area, 50% waterpark, free showers, parking on the slope right next to the lift, go-karts, mini golf, golf course, restaurant, etc. Incredible place.
I can wait to drive 9 hours for that race!!!

Bully to that. I swept my 3....but now I gotta get my ass kicked in amature. I also won my 4X race I entered. But that was decided in qualifying due to weather. So I don't think that really counts. I propose a Snowshoe Dome for 2010. Where's Jerry Jones when u need him.

Wisp sounds awesome! I have a wife and 3 kiddos that would love to come along if there was more to do than draw in the dirt. I'll be watching for those dates. I've updated my first post with all the input from the thread so far. Good info....thanks!

Not gonna happen. Even if there is a race held in Reading on that hill, it won't be called the same thing, something about naming rights. iH8rice/Angry Steve can provide some more info on that.

June 6-7 Wisp DH & DS - 4rd annual Capital Cup

All GES dates are tentative and should be finalized by next week.
Meanwhile Wisp dates are 99.9% firm and will hopefully be GES round #2. Seven Springs is only 1 1/2 hours away and is planning to host a race the following weekend. For those of you coming down from the north, Deep Creek Lake/Wisp is an awesome vacation spot - Jet skis, boats, bars, parks, Mountain coaster, mountain biking and plenty for the whole family to enjoy. Start planning now and minimize your drive time to Pa.!

Whiteface 5 K Downhill is being changed to 9-6-09. This will once again be on Labor Day Weekend, help the crowded month of August, be over an 8 minute dh course, offer a 5 grand cash purse and have no conflicts in the east.
