i am testriding these two bikes tomorrow.... anyone have any experience with these models?

Not a huge C-dale fan (though I had an older Prophet that I liked). Been riding a '10 Enduro for six months. Great bike; arguably one of the better "off-the-floor" complete options you can buy today.

do you find that you run out of gears sometimes? what do you mostly ride: xc/trail stuff or more freeride? do you ever wish you had an adjustable fork?

I ride technical Arizona rocky gnar. Not sure what you mean by running out of gears. The front end is very tall, but I'm not a fan of travel adjust, so no I never missed it.
