Can I fit a 2011 Fox 40 RC2 (26") damper in a 2015 Fox 40 R (27.5")?
My new bike has a Fox 40 R 2015 on it and I find it too linear. I still have my 2011 Fox 40 RC2 so I would like switch the dampers because I want to have low and high speed adjustments on my new fork.

the lowers are compatible.

I have converted a 26" float into a 27.5 Float.

I don't see why the damper wouldn't be convertible, the upper stanchions are the same from 26-27.5, so you should be able to swap the guts.

Could also be true for the spring side since both forks are coils.

If your 2011 is in good working order you could also just swap the 27.5 lower onto it.
