Right.

I'm on a fcken boat with no fcken Internet except 3G on my iPhone.

How can I get a live feed to the 4x and dh results?

I realize watching it live is completely out of the question.

Freecaster iphone feed, that's how I've been watching the world cups! 3G is faster than my home broadband, go figure....

Haha, Graves last into first corner, everyone tangles, Graves comes out in front while everyone's on the ground, but then flats and ends up last, haha. What a disaster! Prokop wins.

Beerten took the women's, Fionn 2nd.

Graves needs a new tire sponsor. Didn't he have similar tire issues at worlds in 2007?

Graves has to have the worst luck ever in the 4x worlds finals. Man chance finally smiled on him only to give him a flat tire 5 meter after. And not only a flat tire, a rear one could have been salvageable, but a front flat, where there is no way you can ride the track. The guy is cursed. Glad he at least got one rainbow jersey. For the love a god, talk about not catching a break.

Yeah, but to the credit of his tires, it looks like he rode right over the chainring of the laid-out bike in front of him.

Maybe run tubes?

Yesterday's mens final was as dramatical as ancient theater play! :D :O Graves - worst bad luck of the Chapms, so far, IMO.
Rock and wood section on the course could be easily be a part pd DH track :D I liked then!

Jeez! Did I really ride it down this year?! :D
Didn't seems that steep from me perspective ;)
If you did it like mały you probably Barell Rolled from there since when we rode it one of the berms/ledges was really worn and offered no support ;) I managed to go 10 m before crashing though it is doable. Just have to get used to Champery steepnes. Next year 2 days of sessioning the track? ;)

I was there last year for the race and I couldn`t imagine the steepness from the pictures. Already walking down the track is so hard because you really have to pay attention where you put you foot at and thankfully they put in some wooden stepps for the spectators to get down!

I'd just like to point out, that although Hill was 16th in the timed session... he was 19th in the timed session at MSA champs last year... :)

Timed session means strictly nothing as some riders are really going for it & others not at all !

Yep, but it's reassuring to know that it appears Hill didn't bother "going for it" in the timed session last year. Maybe he was holding back a fair bit this year...

I can't see him winning tbh, but I'd love it if he did.

I think my preference for the title (out of those I think might actually win it) would be Sam. If not him then Danny, then Gee, and Gwin last.

I'll be surprised if anyone else takes it, but there's a few names I'd love to see get the win - Barel etc.

After watching that Freecaster vid I've convinced myself it's Sam's race, he looks like the Sam of old in that vid just cruising practice, he def looks stronger than he's making out.

I think if it's wet for the whole race that will definitely improve Sam's chances. Aaron's already proved he can ride in the wet, but I'm sure he's comparatively stronger in the dry.

Does anyone know why I get a strange error message "video not found" when I try to click on any freecaster video? It only happens in firefox.

Good news is with the World Champs there's no way for top riders to have a bad quali and race an hour before others, all the top riders will likely have similar conditions to contend with unlike 2007. Be interesting to see how Gwin handles the steep mud, we know how many other riders did in '07.

For us old guys we remember another name who has slayed it in the mud at a World Cup race back in 2003. Mickael Pascal killed the course at Grouse mountain very much like Sam did in '07. Velonews called him a mud-specialist:
