For those of you who have soloed 24 hour races, how much total time did you spend off the bike?

Thanks for the help,

That is a weird question. I have been told some secondhand information that you may find useful.

Basically to be the leader you get to sleep, only until the person behind you catches up. Everyone has to sleep.

To win you just have to keep a lead over the person in the second position. It depends on you and it depends on them. Racing solo is about winning and asking the timekeepers if you are winning.

sorry DN winner's NEVER sleep in a solo 24 and on top of that nobody else does either.
The only time you should be stopped is to grab some fuel, maybe a change of clothes and some fluids. Later, as the night goes on, some people will take a little extra time, maybe 5 minutes or so, to rest but the longer you sit the harder it is to get back up and go.
So basically if your averaging 1 hour laps tack 5 minutes to the end of each lap for refueling and there you have it.
Any other questions?

Yep - that sounds about right to me, too.
