I would think so. We all got up and rode Fantasy Island on Monday after our race.

I really wanted to go solo for this one, and Sq-Earl on a team but between airfare, accomodations & registration fees I am not sure it can happen :(
I figured I'd ride Fantasy Island Wednesday or Thursday... I've heard it's a great ride, so I'm makign it a point to check it out as long as I'll have my bike with me.

Someone twist my arm... I've been wanting to do this race, and I may have the chance this year.

One question - how realistic is it to think that I could be back home and functioning Monday afternoon?
Heat & humidity is what makes me totally useless after a endurance race, and that shouldnt be an issue Feb. in AZ so I say its doable, just grab an early flight out of Tucson Monday morning.

we normally stay at the venue Sunday night to chill out, drink some beers and recoup

F.I. is pretty good, mostly flat and lots of singletrack..You'll have fun. I'll probably be there with the wife, daughter and trailer.

like I said, its FAST - There were a few people that did those 15 miles in under an hour.

I bet I was in my big ring 75 % of the course. And a few sections were I'd be tucked like I was on a roadie, it got sketchy being my shock was blown and I would hit these bumps/jumps at 20 or so, one time I did a nose wheelie for abut 30 ft - 25 of those ft I was convinced I was going home w/broken bones.

I remember seeing 1 cross bikes, but a lot of people were kicking butt on SS's
