I am still so impressed with Mark and laying down that 1:09 at night! how the hell did he do it !!!

When I finished that lap they told me it was 1:20 but it felt like my fastest lap. I flew through the Downhill sections and had a guy to pace myself with on the climb (while we both got schooled by a woman on a single speed - I think she had all the fastest female laps btw).

I think not being able to see all the crap in front of me as well as in the daylight was actually helpful - just as justbill predicted it would be! Ha!

A very cool guy indeed.

And he loaned us some handlebar lights which helped me and IAB out immensely!

I'm still at TreeSaw and Earl's house, heading back to Rochester soon.

What an awesome weekend! All the riders kicked ass, all the support people, family, friends, and volunteers were great!

When I get home I'll come up with a writeup of some sort... until then, it was great seeing all the monkeys, meeting some new monkeys, and racing alongside some really cool fellow mountain bikers

Sorry mate, don't remember your name, but enjoyed the chat on the way up that frigging climb. Our first year as a team (Fatboys Slim) but looks like a regular event for us now. Maybe arrange to catch up with you ridemonkey monkeys for some rides this summer. Splat - tour de nam on the cards, providing mini me starts eating solids soon (got him an adrenalin 24 t shirt - thought at 3 months I could begin introducing him to my religion)

I think we did pretty well. Room for improvement next time we do it. Especially me. As you can see i exploded on my last lap. I had to dismount and do multiple stretching sessions on that lap due to cramps. oh well...

I "heard" tonight they fired 5 people while they were at Dalton ( for going to some local bar ) .....thats why they needed help taking down their stuff - my guess is they fired the dude that knew how to post the results

Yo Matty! Fer sure, anytime you're out this way, drop me a line. I live between the fells and lynn woods, so plenty of top riding nearby. I've also personally tested most of the bars in the area (purely for quality control), so can give you a tour of some of these...
