...saw that last week - that was insane...

Did you see how he had to gap over what looked like a drainage ditch/water pipe during his approach?!?!

Didn't look like he was alternating between pumping the throttle and brake the way Trigger does while airborne - just looked like straight-up speed...

Totally insane...

Yeah BIRRRRRD!!! Jason is a long time friend of mine who's been at the top of the distance game for quite some time... unfortunately the powers that be refused to acknowledge his marks in favor of hyping the existing commercial riders(Maddison, Capes, Trigger). If you're into underdog stories, the man and his lady fabricated the ramp on their own dime, using discarded oil pipe and a stinger rigged into the dryer plug. At 100mph, the ramp seems about the width of a string but the added expense of runway that you "might not use" did not fit the budget. Other than that, the thing is quite genius really, with fully adjustable angles and it's own transport system built into the ramp. To add to the story, the trusty CR250 blew up, the 500 is in limbo, and the 450F is borrowed. The 394' mark was set on only his second attempt ever on a four stroke. gnar. Here's a little more insight into the man http://www.shredordie.com/videos/7f4e1aa44c . Get it Bird...

(I have yet to see a picture that can express how massive this pursuit really is.)
