Just installed new midleburn cranks with 83mm isis fsa BB on my m3, and the non- drive side (left) is really exposed to dirt, the crank is installed on the isis which leaves the BB shell empty and exposed to dirt I even suspect that the barrings can get damaged easily this way if they're not sealed enough. My LBS says that it should be this way :brow: anyone has any experience/idea whether it's ok this way?

The only time I've ever seen a lockring is on an adjustable BB where the cup is only tight enough to preload the bearings, and thus a lockring is needed to keep things from loosening.

Thanks guys,
other then the BB exposed the middleburns are probably the best 165mm cranks you can get out there. look sexy rediculously light and stiff. got them after bending the g light on a stupid crash.
