Trying to plan a family trip skiing in the next few weeks. Back to the grind today.

I've also been looking to buy an mid level new bike. Not quite sure where to start, 29'er, 27.5'er, hardtail.... etc...

Fun bike ride last night. Not quite the conditions we were hoping for, with a few inches of fresh powder. We poached some xc ski trails to link up some single track. The ski trail has lots of fresh powder on it, so the downs were a little sketch on the turns. Only hit 40kmh on the one hill before the buttpucker factor got a little too high on that powder; a little shy of last winters 60kmh boot.

Our buddy Terry the pinball is in central America this week, so we gave him a nice tribute out on the trail.

And now for that fun thing called work. :(

That might cause you to get reported to HR. Do you want to get reported to HR?
They are part of the problem. I'd have quit by now but doing so would put way too strain and pressure on a few other people and I don't want to do that to them, so I need to get done with this project first.

Looking outside, mountain tops shrouded in clouds, weather app says it's snowing in Tahoe (not the 4-8 feet originally forecasted), and I still have the assembly line of dog feeding to do. Nothing like seeing 5 wagging tails ready for breakfast!!!

Oh, and that work thing, since I'm not independently wealthy yet.......

'sup :stosh:. any new bikes have your attention already?

I need to get on this "FIF" program. I've heard good things.
Not really, I have NO idea where to even start. I like my full suspension Ironhorse MKIII but it's heavy as fawk and I want something with bigger wheels. The main trails I ride don't require a Trail bike.....

check out guerilla gravity. US made carbon, great prices. you might wanna start with the trail pistol, 120mm travel 29'er. what's also great is if you decide you want another of their models, all you need is a new seat/chainstay kit (and possibly shock) which they *will* sell you.

Mornin!

Arrived in Texas last night and already had to smash mosquitoes. It’s still winter! What kind of cruel joke is that?!?

Gonna visit the Blue Bell ice cream factory today on the way up to Waco. Maybe I can score some Texas BBQ since the stuff I had in SC and GA was downright disappointing.

I'm a bigger rider, should I be buying carbon?

these bikes are the new hot shit in carbon. plenty of info out there on it, but tl;dr they have a sledgehammer test and no other carbon frames could withstand it, but their stuff did, along with aluminum bikes.

edit: they are claiming 300% better impact strength than other carbon bikes on the market, fwiw.

Yo.
Back in the front range.
Working this weekend & band practice. Not much else going on.
Story of my PSIA exam. Passed movement analysis. Ski portion I passed it all but my wedge turn . Told my examiner at the end of day 2 that the PSIA is sucking the soul out of the sport. Skied bowls & smoked bowls all day on on day3. Face is super crispy today. I needed the vitamin D, been affected by SAD the past month.

Is there a David Koresh museum there?
