Nice edit job. You should be careful with how you use that video. If you're doing it for a school project that's cool, you're entitled by fair use to utilize the clips from other bike movies to make an educational work. However, I notice you claim copyright of the work. I think there are quite a few movie houses like freeride entertainment who's work you have "sampled" in the clip that would dispute your claim of copyright. So, just be aware of copyright law when you are producing content, I know some folks who's lives were made pretty miserable for awhile because a company who's work they "sampled" turned the lawyers on them.

I am painfully aware of copyright stuff. I produced a film in school this year that was unable to be shown at the last minute because one of my partners lied about having rights to a song we used.
I was able to edit at the last minute using some generic porn film soundtrack stuff that came with Premiere.
As long as you are not charging people to view this, and you give credit to the original film makers, and it's for school you should be okay.
EDIT// I like how you showed the DVD boxes at the end, for a school project that should work.

awesome frickin video, editing is so cool!!! The crashes at the end, wow, those are some of the worst I've seen, that makes ya want to go out and ride........lol......ouch!!!!
Yea it's for a film fest at school. And I use studio 9 by pinnacle systems to edit.
The covers of the videos were shown at the end so that is just as good as listing them. I know that Derek Westerland, and Jeremy Levin are cool with it. (nwd's and ROTZ's)
But come to think of it....they are charging for people to see the videos....... I don't know where the money goes? They just asked for students to enter videos. Fuk I duno now.
Yeah, I cant find it either on the site. I think its ok if you just repost the link here. Someone by my house made a bike DVD of of him and all his friends riding, edited it with music from popular bands (without copyright permission), and sold the DVD in bike shops in town. I asked them if they had copyright permission, they said that they didn't need it.

i think your friend is mistaken. fair use does not include reselling other peoples' copyrighted works (although it does most definitely include using short segments for educational purposes)
I took it off my site too cuz it said copy right and my name in the corner of the windows media player screen when it played. And i'm worried that because of my throwing it up for the world to see, someone part of the 11 bike videos I borrowed footage from might see it and get mad.
Yeah, I hear you I mean I wish these people would work their ass off and just accept that they are not going to get paid because copyright is BS!
These video companies go out, they make awesome films and put their money on the line, their livelyhood all for the passion of making the film.
By enfinging the copyright you are effectively refusing to pay for a service. I am no angel and I have downloaded music, but I am starting to realize what goes into this.
