Aluminum, Steel, and Cost

Should I get the Titan because it's cheaper, or would the TOP be that much better?

I was originally thinking of getting the Transition TOP which is $400. I was looking at the Soul Cycles Titan today on their site. The geometry is similar and it's $150.

In another thread, a bunch of people said that the bump absorption of steel hardtails, really only make a difference on XC bikes. Would steel (the TOP) be that much stronger?

I would be riding mostly street & dirt jumps, and some am/fr stuff. I would put my 4" dj3 fork on it until I get a pike and 20mm hub.

Not really. Geo tables aren't 100% accurate. They ride a lot like a DOC does, just more stable and flexier.
