Oh for sure. The dude has a wicked amount of skill. I'm saying retarded for a spectator POV. When it's on TV, it's like watching poker.ZZZZZZZzzzzz.You have to admit, that took a retarded amount of skill
Set in 1976 Paris.
Claude Lelouch, "C'etait un rendezvous"
From the Porte Dauphine to Sacre-Coeur in less than 8 minutes in a Ferrari 275/GTB.
Top speed in excess of 200.
he never revealed his methods afaik but the audio is dubbed and the camera car was thought to be a mercedes sedan.btw i give you the sexiest car audio/video
dude, nice! I want your truck. That was pretty cool.
I'm a bit more into the off-road stuff though. Here's a vid I did with a buddy a while ago:

Or there is almost actual music.the engine sounded nice, but this is beautiful music....
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169173/triviaYoToshi, why do you think that was a mercedes? that's a huge disappointment if so...I remember they had that video for sale at the Ralph Lauren show here in Boston.
mercedes 450 6.9. top speed in the movie ~85 mph, avg 48 mph. still a cool car and a great flick.According to recent claims by Claude Lelouch, he was driving his own Mercedes in the film, and later dubbed over the sound of a Ferrari 275GTB to give the impression of much higher speeds. Calculations made by several independent groups using the film show that the car never exceeds 140 km/h (85 mph), which seems to lend credence to his recent comments.

Until recently, there was no confirmation of who was driving or what car he was driving. Over the years, various sources claimed an F1 driver was at the wheel of a Le Mans Matra 675, Ferrari 275 GTB, or an Alpine A110. However, Claude Lelouch confirmed on his official website in March 2006 that he was driving, and it was a 6.9 litre Mercedes.

turn up the sound real loud and stick your face in front of the monitor.
Eventually I believe Audi pulled out, and a few of the others followed, and Group B kind of collapsed on itself...
how about they make it so people don't stand 2 feet away from the car on a fast turnnot quite, the FIA killed it after a series of big accidents. When the car's start killing the crowd something has to change....
A lot of it was stupid fans. There were a few rallys where spectators were putting coins on the long jumps betting how far the cars would go. They would run out onto the course and lay bets, then when the helicopters folloing the Group-B cars neared they would scatter.how about they make it so people don't stand 2 feet away from the car on a fast turn
Both cars had approx. 600hp on tap, both cars were very difficult to drive, Audi ace Walter Rohrl was once quoted to say "I was starting to feel that even my thoughts were not fast enough for this car". This was after winning the Pikes Peak hill climb, so his opinion should be respected.not necessarily....the lancia was super powerful and probably the best of the bunch, but it came right at the end of group B. I think it was 600 HP and I believe the Audi was easily capable of beating that...it just couldn't stay on the road.

I can't agree more with you on that one.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Y3lycIaNMfc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Y3lycIaNMfc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
This is still my favorite. waves to the crowd, wins the stage and the race. The co-driver's faces is priceless.
(small rant: I wish speedvision would stop w/ the nascar-golf and other assorted bs and go back to broadcasting motorsport. I don't get to see this kind of stuff anymore)
