LOL! 105 is okay... comparable to LX IMO.

Yup I use 105 on my road bike, I've been waiting to replace it but it just won't die no matter how much a abuse it.

105 is solid. i would have no qualms running 105 on a serious road bike. except front derailleur.

it doesn't matter either way. you can run 105 ders on xc. the dude was comparing his X0 vs 105. I have dura ace on my roadie, XTR on my XC and 105 on my CX. 105 is ghetto. XTR and DA pWn. I've tried X0 (friends bike) and wasn't impressed.

Ummm 105 is for ROAD, yes you CAN use it on a mt bike but why would you?? and obviously you would use XTR on a xc bike, I mean thats what it's for.
Compairing XO qand 105 is just stupid VERY stupid. For one they're both at totally diff levels and 2. one is ment for xc one for road. Someone needs a good :nuts: ........
