Are there any Avalanche users out there? Is it worth the money?
Im thinking about trying a Avalanche damper for my 13' Marzocchi 888 CR. The damper is not cheap but I bought the fork slightly used so Id still be well under the price of a new fork. It seems like the fork I have would be a great chassis for this damper, Ive been riding this fork since last October and Im always messing with it trying to get a good setting. It is either too soft and divey or it is not using all of its travel but still kinda divey. the rebound is ok but always seems to be either too harsh and poppy or to sluggish and wallows. Ive tried heavier damper oil and that helped. Im 190lbs and using the 6.5k hard spring.
Also very interested in the SSD mod they have for the Fox float X shock for my trail bike. Im using this shock on a 13' Banshee Rune V2. I have to run a lot of sag, like 35% to get all the travel out of the shock and it still feels too progressive all the time. Anyone out there using this on their fox shocks?
Thanks
