Hey guys looking around at AM bikes and am wondering if any of you have owned or ridden one for a good period of time? Have a few other possibles but this bike looks pretty slick.....
I do not love my Fox Float 34 140mm FIT fork. You get to pick whether you want some small bump compliance + blow through the travel, or good support + poor small bump compliance. Same old problem. You'd think they could sort it on a $900 fork.

When'd you get yours? Thought I heard there was a new Fox damper for that fork that addressed (at least somewhat) the many complaints people had like your complaint above.
Even last years 36 had CTD I think....see link below. And just a note I had adjusting stuff but have heard alot of negatives on the CTD in general so don't even want to mess with it unless I cannot avoid it.
I was just looking for replacement options for my 2013 34 Talas. I hate it. The Avalanche cartridge would probably help a lot on the damping side of things, although it wouldn't do anything to fix the pita TALAS system.

It was one of the first, purchased in late 2011. I should probably look into new internals, but who wants to spend another couple hundred squids on a fork that costs a grand in the first place...
Yeah, I spent a long day on a Bronson with the 34 float and wasn't impressed at all. You have to wonder if some of the lack of small bump compliance comes from the spring side or if it is all in the damper.
I feel like it's a mix of both.
My 2013 34 Talas feels good for the first 5 to 10 compressions. After that I'm back to a stiff as hell front end. I like my forks to be stiff on my trail bike, but this is getting ridiculous. I keep dropping pressure from the air chamber on every ride and end up with a fork that won't even sag 10mm by the end of the ride.
