I'm just wondering how much of a bite this ticket is going to take out of my bank account, or how much I have to save. I was coming back from A-basin earlier today, and apparently I got clocked at 87 mph by the state patrol. That happens to be 32 over the speed limit, and because of that I have to go to court for it in the spring. I hear that colorado requires that you pay 10 dollars for every mile an hour over the speed limit, but I'm hoping that won't be the case. The cop says that they'll reduce it for me but maybe he was just talking about the points (which there were 6 of).
So... I think I'm going to try to save like $400 just in case the fine really is insanely expensive, but does anybody have an idea what the fine would really be? Or if they can reduce the fine in court?
