This red frame is the 07 DEMO8 and i really want it, pure bike sex.A lot has changed. I really want to get a Demo 7 II and am hoping I can.
What makes you say that? Those two frames are exactly the same. This red frame is the 07 DEMO8 and i really want it, pure bike sex.
No they're not. The red one's teh 8 and the brown one pictured is the 7.What makes you say that? Those two frames are exactly the same.

They aren't making 9s so I don't know where whoever said they're in stock got the idea unless they're talking about 06s.

No. If the 7 had a shorter shock it would be slacker than the 8 which it isn't. There are some changes, and the 7 has a 1.5 HT. They're similar, not the same. The seven just has a shorter shock. They are called different because of travel.
They are both the same bike. Just the demo 7 has a 1.5. What makes them different is the shuttle, not a shorter shock, largextracheese.No. If the 7 had a shorter shock it would be slacker than the 8 which it isn't. There are some changes, and the 7 has a 1.5 HT. They're similar, not the same.

do you have a url for that site?Just looked at the Specialized business site and both 7 and 8's are listed as late Feb. Demo 9's are in stock now.
Don't count on the designs of the Turner DHRs being stickers either. It's looking like not only does the 6-pack have no stickers, but the 5-spot has no stickers that are easily removable either. Therefore the DHR has no stickers.I wouldn't count on those 'stickers' being removeable either. I have two 07 specialized bikes so far (Fuse 4 and a Roubaix Comp) and neither has removeable stickers, there is a clear coat over them. I'm trying to decide between the SX Trail III and the Demo 7.

Since the Heckler is a great AM bike, I would say get a Demo 7. You are in the same shoes that I am in. My buddy bought and SX Trail and its a sweettt bike. He does everything on it and it holds up great. But he never had an AM bike before. I cant wait to get my hands on a Demo 7 II. Which one were you thinking about getting?rpk: well, I sold my bighit, and I do still have a AM/Trail bike (SC Heckler), I was considering getting rid of the heckler and getting the SX Trail III.... or I would just keep the heckler and get a Demo 7. Sounds like I've got a little bit of time to make up my mind though. I also heard that the Demo 7's suspension improved a bit this year over last year's Demo-8's. I can't wait for more reviews/rider feedback on it.

hmmm...you mean ONE more choice, the choice to put on a 7 inch single crown 1.5 inch thick steerer tubed fork on it and screw up the intended geometry of a lightweight DH speced bike? Lame. The 7 does have a shorter shock. Read the specs.
Demo 7 8.5x2.375
Demo 8 8.75x2.75

. This would let the Demo8 owners have more choices in forks.
