For Mac and iPhone/iPod users, do you purchase AppleCare and have you ever needed it ?

I just bought an iPhone and am debating over getting AppleCare. The only major issue I had with my previous Mini was well past the three year warranty period anyway. Although, they did replace my wireless keyboard for me when it stopped working.

I paid an extra $5 a month for insurance on my previous phone for almost 3.5 years. Kind of feel a little stupid for that one, oh well.

Yes for laptops. Yes for iphone if you use the mute slider a lot, it WILL go bad after a while. You can also jailbreak and install SBSilence to avoid the mute issue.

Yes for iPhone. I'm not about to spend $50.00 an hour just to talk to an Apple rep if I didn't have it or have them charge me full retail if there's a malfunction. Plus, it breaks down to about $3.00 a month.
