I'll be damned, the longest thread I ever started and I don't even read it anymore. A little update for everyone going nuts about my little indecent proposal. I bought a frame (cash) and I'm just going to slow build it. I never anticipated putting $4000 on a bike like somebody else wrote (of course I could have been more specific). There has been a ton of good advise on this thread and a load of bullsh%$ too. But thanks for everything guys, I'm sure I made a good choice. The part that really kills me is that nearly everyone who told me credit card debt is bad had a story about their nice big credit card debt. Sort of a biased opinion. So before we point fingers and call someone stupid for even thinking about putting a bike on a card, lets just say at least I asked before I did it. And unless you want to live in the woods (and I do, don't get me wrong) you should try to establish credit, one way or the other. Anyway, thanks for all the advice.
