Hey, I have a brand new banshee scream and the drive side botom braket cup will not screw in. I can start it and screw it in a couple of turns but it gets stuck. THe BB cup is fine, and yes I am screwing it in counter closkwise. Do I need to have the BB shelll chased or something (if thats what its even called) What should I do?

Sounds like yes, have it chased. To me though, something sounds off. It sounds strange that you can get it in a few turns, but not all the way. Is the bb used? It would suck to have to pay to have the threads of a brand new bb shell chased.

Get it chased, there might be a metal shaving somewhere in the threads on either the BB or the frame itself. I had the same problem when I first put my GT together.
