Wier really shouldn't be doing the whole "King of D-ville" if he hasn't gotten first place for the last couple years. I.e, not wearing a robe that says "Can't be beat, Won't be beat" when you've been beaten. That's all I've got to add.

He's a good rider, the ego is misplaced. Should someone put anywhere near the effort or timein at D'Ville -- Mark wouldnt be very remarkable.
Im pretty sure he would destroy ME in any discipline, but thats moot. I get the impression he's the kind of guy that might be inclined to see a message like this and talk smack. Wouldnt that be nifty.
To keep things fair, I don't know why Wier couldn't have flown to Brooklyn to race Beneke on this little non-commercial event. Afterall, Beneke did go all the way to Downieville.
