there is a file named "error.txt" in my program files/MS antispyware folder that grows about 100 megabytes a day....

hmmmmm. I'm running MS antispyware on my machine at home. This morning I did a search for the "error.txt" file and it didn't find any such file.
Have you tried simply deleting this file and seeing if it comes back?
I'd first move it to another folder, just in case deleting it causes problems, then you can move it back if need be.

yes, i erase every few days (whenever it reaches 500-600Mb), but then it comes back....
i toyed around with the settings to try not to get that file.. but i didnt find anything.

Have you opened it to see what's in it?
