not sure anymore...Where did you get the superbro picture? for some reason I remember it being white.
yea it was the first full shot of the bike that was made public.probably from one of the very first PRs about the existence of SuperCo...
Nice! That's my old ride pictured at the top of Silverton Mountain in Colorado. 2005 maybe?had been meaning to add to this thread but forgot. so here is a dump...
first, because it is an awesome picture and I remember someone mentioning it on an earlier page:
what happens when you clear it? does the sharpie bleed? After we figured out how to clearcoat sharpies things got pretty crazy!
That's about 15 hours of work so far.
Very cool, Mickey. Reminds me of a Kona with a Keith Haring paint job I saw around here... probably 15-20 years ago.Art on bike... After we figured out how to clearcoat sharpies things got pretty crazy!

Nope! I ended up concocting a vegetable and wax based sealer that's along the lines of modgepodge. Standard automotive clear with a couple of progressively sanded coats makes it smooth and sparkly. Theoretically it should hold up just as well as paint. Paint markers and standard clear work well too, but sharpies are more translucent, which is nice for the luster and shiny-ness.what happens when you clear it? does the sharpie bleed?
Makes me think of Reggie & the Full Effect "Gloves" there...
