Not DH related at all really, but just chatting to a friend and made me think of some great books I've read (not too) recently:

1) Life and Limb - Jamie Andrew
2) It's not about the Bike - Lance Armstrong

Both highly highly recommended, great motivational reading.

Anyone got any others?

I know this should probably be in the Lounge or somewhere, but I've never ever ever posted anywhere other than the DH forum on here :)

found Lance's book incredibly boring and a chore to read myself.
"trainspotting" was more motivational

A short history of nearly everything - bill bryson - covers so much ground, but links together the relative fields of study well, and does a neat job of highlighting the forgotten heros of science.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Hunter S. Thompson
Fight Club & Survivor - Chuck Palahniuk
Too Fat to Fish - Artie Lange
The Stand & The Shining - Stephen King
Now I can die in peace - Bill Simmons

Bike related: The Art of Wheelbuilding (A Bench Reference for Neophytes, Pros & Wheelaholics) - Gerd Schraner, pretty much the bible of wheelbulding, still worth owning even if you've laced a wheel or 2

Non-bike: Mao: The Unknown Story - Jung Chang, provids a peek of some of the absolute horror that Mao put china though, and if you don't finish it you can use the 900 page book as a hammer to bend your wheels back into shape.

Coffee table: Wall and Piece - Banksy, lots of great art and "stuff"

Matt Hoffman - the ride of my life
F***ing oath... the best book I've ever read, bar none. This book will enlighten you as to what a masochistic nutcase you have to be in order to succeed in BMX. Funny as all hell too.
