I am planning a Bootleg Canyon trip and have some questions. First, is the road up to the 'top' manageable in a sedan (corolla)? I have been there before - on a race weekend - but cannot remember the road's condition (shuttle truck bounces a bit ). I'd like to self shuttle if possible, especially since we may be there during the week.
Second, is camping in the parking lot permissible? People do it at the races, so I assume it is no problem. Any recommendations on places to stay in case we decide not to camp? One MTBR trail reviewer recommends "Stay at the Hacienda Hotel & Casino. it's a short drive from BC and you can check out the amazing "multi use" drainage ditch that runs for like 2 miles. killer stuff."
What are the bike shops in the area?
allmountaincyclery.com - these guys run the shuttle I think; $5 a run
bouldercitybikes.com
any other shops?
Any other stuff in the area besides bootleg that is suitable for a DH bike?
Thanks guys.
