Happy New “Racing” Year!

USA Cycling’s first National Champ Qualifier for 2011 kicks - off this February 18th through 20th at Bootleg Canyon, in Boulder City, Nevada with 3 days of racing and camaraderie. With the magnificent and demanding terrain of the Mojave Desert, it is common to see many up and coming young US racers making their pro debut on Presidents Day Weekend right here. This race is not just for the groms as Dan & Gee Atherton took 1st and 2nd place two years ago at this very race. Event organizer/race promoter Downhill Mike was quoted saying "You never know who you’ll see or race against at Bootleg."

Event organizers say excitement is high & sponsors have been signing up daily. As of this news release, organizers say they already total over $6,000.00 in cash and prizes for this state championship event, and expect that total to reach over $10,000.00!

Registration can be found on Active.com easily by searching for event I.D. # 1914051. The first 100 registrants will receive a very cool event t-shirt from Go Ride and Boulder City Bicycles. All registrants will also receive 1 raffle ticket for each race they register in, for up to 3 chances to win a stylish cruiser from Black Rock Bicycles valued at $350.00.
