So I am switching around some cranks to set up a bike for my brother's fiance, and I am wondering what the difference between the Gigapipe ISIS, and the Howitzer ISIS is, and are they interchangeable?

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

The Howitzer ISIS is very different to the GigaPipe ISIS. They do share the same type of splines but the Howitzer bearings sit on the outside of the frame, just like Shimano Hollowtech II for example.

The Gigapipe is more traditional (bearings hidden in the BB shell).

They are not compatible with one another, the Howitzer would space the normal ISIS crankset out a whole lot.

Usually cranks are labeled "Howitzer" if they are meant for that type of BB.
