Hey,
My hayes mechanicals are starting to squeak on and off. I was wondering if there is anything i can do to stop this noise or if it is an innevitable part of hayes brake systems. I know avids are better and all that **** but i cant afford new brakes and probably wont be able to justify spending money on new ones till these die. So just looking for tips on how to stop the squeaking... they still work fine.. just a little annoying and gets some wierd looks when riding urban.

my avids mechs do that a lot now, you might try to take the pads out and put some rubbing alcohol on the pads and sand them down just a wee bit with a file or sandpaper or something like that, I gotta do that too.

If you wet sand the part of the rotor that contacts the pads, you could remove the pad residue and maybe that will help.
