Funny you used the word solid. That was the goal of the build actually. Wanted a stiff frame, Thomson stem and post that are bombproof. Ultegra SL is a workhorse group. Should make a fine race steed.

Chasing a Cat1 upgrade this season. I am going to try and race alot smarter this year. Only attacking I will be doing is when the road points straight up.

I love Thomson stuff, you should get a matching seatpost collar!
I have a Thomson post on one of my bikes, they're light, strong, stiff, and not too spendy. Perfect.
What bar are you running? Ritchey something?
