More out of general interest rather than personal, what are the laws regarding marijuana in BC?

I can't find much on it, but I seem to remember that it is illegal to sell or buy, but not illegal to smoke or grow.

can someone clarify?

it is still illegal, BUT speaking as someone that goes to school in vancouver, there's almost no chance of getting in trouble for smoking pot up there. its freakin' everywhere. i call it the "official smell of Vancouver" however, don't come across the border w/ it or sell it. those can get you busted. plus, there's so much of it up there, no need to bring your own
