Iraqi soldiers continued their fight against US forces Sunday as suicide couch tossers apparently tried to storm a US bunker inside baghdad. According to Capt. Tom Pfeiffer, of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, no US casualties occured during the onslaught.
"We thought they had us pinned down there for a minute," said Pfeiffer. "But after a while, we realized that they were carrying couches instead of the 'usual' rocket propelled grenades. The attack was not very effective."
In a late breaking story, it appears that UN inspectors have deemed several furniture pieces in material breach of resolution 1441. Apparently no more than 3 iraqis are allowed to sit at the same place, at the same time.
"This obviously puts a damper on any progress we've been making here," said Chief UN weapons inspector Hans Blix. "This couch could comfortably fit at least 4 iraqis."
