Mom's computer runs WindowsME and I need to get her a burner - recommendations? (she only needs a cd burner for pics and stuff).

It says that it works with Windows ME, I'd give it a shot, Lite On is at least a known brand, not some white box abomination. I wouldn't hold my hopes too high, I'd estimate a 50% chance of any drive working with windows ME regardless of brand name. You may not get full speed out of the drive or you may get nothing at all, hopefully it will just run a little slow.

LiteOn is as good as most of the other stuff on the market. When I worked for a computer company, we sold lots of LiteOns. All burners will work with Windows ME.

I've rocked a few Lite On drives, they are cheap and sturdy and make very few drink coasters.

Lite on is great stuff, i used to use them a ton when I had PCs.
