dont rule out the new evil guide. i rode a friends bike that was equipped with one and it was sweet. super quiet and bombproof. the bashguard is tons thicker than mrp so disasters should be much easier than with an mrp. (if you ride urban)

Don't know prices were you are but in Aus the MRP is super expensive. ($300+) Being a CNC machinist i tend to modify everthing so i got a DMR speedguide($50 Aus), Replaced the silly(noisy) jockey wheel with an MRP style roller. also replaced the top cage with an Evil type roller and slapped a bashring(custom of course) on the big ring postion. Works just like the Evil guide. Have'nt dropped the chain once since seting this up. I know this is not the easiest way to go, just letting you know what i run. Will have pics of some of my handywork soon.
