I agree with respect given to the "Batman" and "The Hills Have Eyes" reboots. That was much better.
But, it is as if Hollywood has run out of original ideas and thinks that the originals can't stand up to the test of time or something.....maybe they just need to give the current crop of sh*tty actors and actresses something to do in between TMZ writeups and celebrity fender-benders.
If I see a "Jason and the Argonauts" redux starring Robert Pattison, I'm marching to LA and shooting someone.

I also noticed that "The Mechanic" is being remade with Jason Statham and Ben Foster. Besides that no one can supplant Charles Bronson, the original film was so nihilistic (just think about when Bronson and Jan-Michael Vincent witness a girl's attempted suicide, without lifting a finger to stop her or help), I doubt the Hollywood establishment would make such a cynical film.
This is a perfect era for that kind of film, though.
