BMCC is hosting a MTB time trail on the Overmountain Victory Trail (OVT) which is located on the opposite side of the Dam at Dark Mtn on November 10th. The event flier will be posted later this week on www.bmcc.us with additional details.

The course will incorporate a new 2.5 loop off of OVT so the total distance will be a little over 8 miles. If you have never ridden OVT then here is a prime opportunity. The trail has killer flow and not as much climbing as Dark Mtn.

Cycletherapy (www.cycletherapybikes.com) is sponsoring the race with the top three finishers in each category taking home gift certificates. In addition the fastest man and woman, regardless of category, will be taking home some hard cash...will communicate $$ amount once a few more issues are ironed out.

Entry fee is $25 which includes a sub-sandwich & drink after the event.

This is a NORBA event so an annual license or one-day license will be required.

This trail is a blast to ride so hope you can come out and join us!

big bike/clydesdale class? ;)
sorry no big bike class or clydesdale...classes are limited to the following cause we're not sure what type of turn out we'll get with a XC time trail. If its successful then we'll expand the classes for next year. Here's the class structure:

Pro/Expert Men
Pro/Expert Women
Beginner/Sport Men
Beginner/Sport Women
Junior Men
Junior Women

Yeap, its on the same road. You'll turn left into the Visitor's Center before actually crossing the dam. Sorry no camping onsite but I think the Moravian Falls campground is still open (336-667-6150). Its about 10 minutes from the dam. See ya tomorrow:busted:
