I just picked up a Dangerboy seatpost collar for my Uzzi SLX. It's just some bling to liven up an old bike, but anyways, the collar is tall and doesn't fully seat before it hits a weld and gusset. If there is about an extra 1/8" of space between the top of the seat tube, and where the seat post collar narrows down to sit on top of the seat tube... does that really matter?

Seems like it will still hold decently. Has anyone tried something similar?
