Just got a 2nd hand Sunday that I am going to get back in shape. It has some wear and tear but I think with some touch up paint and new stickers it could cosmetically look like new. That being said, does anyone know what I could use that peal old decals away as well as tape residue. This dude didn't know what the **** he was doing when he packaged the bike and I used a wrag and water and its not really doing the job.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

I've always used a heat gun or hair drier to get the stickers as well as any major residue off. After that I just use dishsoap or even degreaser cause it's usually handy in the shop.

2nd the heat gun, thats what we have always used for Automotive decals

goo-gone to get the gunk off, then wash with soapy-water.

Works on nicely on "sticky" sticker residue. Just apply and let it sit for a appr 5 sec. before "rubbing" the glue off with a shoprag. Have to do few "rounds" as old glue turns into a goo...

lighter fluid works like a charm, just make sure you don't set it on fire....

The best thing for removing sticker or tape residue is WD40.

Heat gun to remove decal. WD40 to remove adhesive residue.
