The gf is looking at getting longer travel forks, but the likelyhood is that a larger brake rotor will be needed to make everything fit, as Boxxers (for example) will need to size upped for the standard 160 to 205mm.

What discs are there which will do this job? am i right in thinking that XT/Saint dont have the necessary surface area or could she get away with one of them?

If the outer diameter is within a couple mm of what you need almost anything will work.
