I'm thinking about buying a 2008 Wilson 3 frame, and was wondering is anyone had any experience with them, know how they ride for DH and freeriding, and if there are any problems with the frame. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

I bought one last year...

rode it all season and no problems so far...its heavier then it looks...its really stable...its precise and corners really well....stable in the air..I have upgraded the rear shock to an Elka (http://www.elkasuspension.com) shock with a Ti coil...I'm not a big fan of air suspension but the DHX3 is ok...hope it helps...btw I'm 6'1'' and I'm riding a Medium...I tried a large but the wheelbase is just too long...

Devinci makes solid bikes. No problems with my 06 8-flat-8,(same frame as Wilson). I think it'll prove difficult for you to find anyone who has many complaints with Devinci's with their lifetime warranty and such. Apparently the new Wilsons are heaps lighter and stiffer than the old Wilson frames.

I've been riding mine for a season now, and it's awsome! They're a great frame and can be built up to be a lightweight downhill ride.

I did swap out to needle bearings, Devinci has (had?) a free upgrade to Wilson owners, it is a lot smoother and there is less flex compared to the polymer.

I'm 6'0" and ride a med.

This article was a big help when I was looking into the bike:

So the Wilson is more geared towards Downhill, but how does it do for freeride and jumps?

Thanks a lot for all the help.
