sorry bro, I cant see toyota ever being able to tow 19-24k lbs
They would have to build a whole new truck. The tundra is only 1/2 ton which isnt even comparable. Though i do believe they will eventually come out with one it will probaly be in concept for a long time.

Tundra: The redesigned 2007 Tundra pickup arrived in February. Toyota is working with subsidiary Hino on a diesel version so that a promised heavy-duty model can arrive as a 2011 model. A hybrid version comes in mid-2011 as a 2012 model.

well i'd assume that most major car companies could design something from the groundup in about 3 years, so i fail to see how this is impressive.

no kidding! this is (yet another reason) why Toyota will NEVER be the #1 car company like GM...

Dude - didn't the World's Strongest Man do that same thing? :disgust1:
Those guys pull some little 70 ton plane over 30 meters. Impressive still. That thing pulled a 300 ton plus 747. Maybe all these contractors should sort it out and pull all their own kit around? That'd save the planet. :monkey:

In the cleavage of the Tetons
Let's get back to dropping a diesel engine into a Tacoma...I am VERY interested!
I am selling my 250 D right now to get a Taco, if I could throw in a fast, strong engine (manual would be ultra-bonus!) that would cinch it, period.

Any more data?
(not in Cali!!!BONUS!)
