I've HEARD stories about ones at the airport. I've rode ones in fairmount park. Thats as close to NJ as I know of.

Not sure if NYC is too far but the Highbridge trails have some nice jumps and they are public. Right over the GWB and more infor on NYCMTB.com. the trails are also on google maps for directions.
