How does everyone get rid of old stuff? I know some of it can't be recycles but I've always wondered if certain things can. Specifically things like tires and old suspension fluid.

our local bike shop takes old tires to recycle. old parts go to a place that refurbishes bikes for kids.

Our recycling center has dedicated bike tire recycling, and hazardous waste disposal for a few bucks.

Our local transfer station accepts hazmat, batteries, and metal at no charge. Car tires cost a little to get rid of.

I toss tires into the pile at the local tire shop.

Used fork oil can be dropped off at any place that does car oil changes

Carbon parts can be composted with direct sunlight.

i'll ask my LBS if they do this. no shop i've worked at or been to (that i'm aware of) took tires for recycling
