Hey my DOC came with a shim and says to use a 31.6mm seatpost. Can i take the shim out and use a 31.8mm and still be able to slam the seatpost all the way down. Thanks.

umm.. no.. leave that 'shim' thing in there... actually it isn t a shim, it s more a sleeve... and despite what dw said (before the bike came out) about it not needing any frame prep, you might want to check yours out... my opinion FWIW, do yaself a favour and hone the seattube (at the very least)...

31.6 is money...

thanks, just curious cause i found a really good deal on a 31.8 seatpost. I think the frame is already prepped i got it from kidwoo and he said he faces/reams all his frames.
