I'm not the biggest fan of the current approved design, but it does have it's positives. It is supposed to be a LEED certified green building, and generate a portion of its own electricity from wind power on the roof.
The new building should be a product of current technology and innovation and design, not a relic made to look like 1970's architecture.
I can't believe that Donald Trump would have the audacity/ego to hire his own team to create a design for building which he is not even involved in. And for him to critique modern architecture is pretty sad. From what I've seen, Trump's idea of good architecture is miles of gold plating and gold tinted glass.
