I just built a rear 27.5 wheel with this rim, first ride today.
Bontrager G5 27.5 x 2.5 fit beautifully no issues getting on.
Had to retape once because I'm a n00b, but used a standard Stan's valve stem and left the stock rubber grommet on, holding air fine. Trucker Co. tape and Stan's sealant.
The stock rubber grommet is like a spoke eyelet, it's not in the way of the tape, it doesn't extend inside the rim like that.
Also I'd have to look but I think the only wheels on our bikes that have this are the ones that came as a complete wheelset, when I bought runs individually I don't believe they had the rubber grommets in them.
Yeah the grommet doesn't extend into the 2nd wall of the rim.
I bought the FR570 rim by itself and it did come with the rubber grommet for what it's worth. If anyone is having trouble with that sealing, you could put some loctite flange sealant (515) or similar around both the grommet ID/OD and valve before assembly.
Used a set of Stan's valves and sealed the rims with clear Gorilla tape. Clear Gorilla tape is by far the best tape I've used. It is super sticky and very pliable. It formed to the shape of the rim really well. I tried using Stan's tape but it kept popping off the rim. Total waster of money.
Any suggestions on how to the roll of Gorilla tape in half cleanly?
I've got a set of Stan's problem solver's valves. They are designed for rims that have been drilled for schrader. I'll swap those out soon since I am getting a little leakage from the valve stems.

I might have to investigate this as I'm having trouble keeping my new DT Swiss 1950 wheelset aired up, same rim as the FR570.
Came pre-taped with the DT tape and valves.
Using Maxxis HR2 DH TR tyres (agreed that mounting tyres on these rims is a PITA)
However I seem to get air leaking from a single spoke hole on both front and rear. I'll air them up and they'll seem fine for a couple of days, then I'll find them flat.
Not that I want to fight to take the tyre off and check the valve seating or tape for issues now that they're full of Stans, but something funky is going on, I've never had this much trouble with getting a tubeless setup working.
Mine were rims alone, no tape or valves so could be different.
You think they'd have done it correctly if it's pre-done but sounds like that's not the case.

If you look at the rim with no tape on it, if I recall correctly the seem of the wheel and the pin/weld (Can't remember exactly what it looks like right now) needs extra care when taping to get a good seal. I'd put a 6 pack of PBR on that being the leaky spot.
Also, I've not had too many issues with damaging or moving the tape with levers on these wheels as they are a lot easier to mount tires on tubeless than with a tube, or on my flow's.
They seem to be a good solid rim for the price and purpose, but they do tend to be a touch finnicky to get to seal well from time to time.
I'm still using clear gorilla, which is cheap enough that when I get a leaker I don't get too bent about it.
