Wooo Tulips!!!!
I was installing a used dura ace 9 front shifter on my rodie, and I tried to adjust the front derailleur. When you try to shift up it will not click it tightens the cable but only like half a shift downshifting works fine.
Any thoughts?

That's a "Trim Click" to trim the fron mech if the chain is rubbing the front mech in a certain gear combo.
Give the lever second push, or push it further.
Straight from the instruction mannual:
"When lever B is operated, there is one click where trimming (the noise prevention mechanism) engages, and a second stronger click when the gear shift stroke is completed. After trimming, the next push will complete the gear shift stroke"

I wonder if SRAM is going to come out with some road bike controls......
