I'm having a bit of trouble setting mine up. I've got a 2000 FSR bighit which I'm building from the frame up (my first time). I'm running SRAM Rocket Shorty shifters and an E-type derailleur. But I can't figure out how to route the cable.

Help!

Is it a top or bottom pull derailleur? And how is the frame set up? Are the cable guides at the top or running down the bottom of the frame?

cables are routed aloing the top and it's a bottom pull.

hmm ... methinks i was sold the wrong derailleur.

*edit* ... Nope, looks like there's only one kind of e-type derailleur available. Ok, now what?

Yeah, you're right -- they do make a top pull. Confounded LBS sold me the wrong one.
