The lack of disc tabs alone show it to be pre-2000. It's more like a '98 if I recall, but I am no Specialized expert either.

I took a peek at the 2002 Specialized bike line. Only from 5 years ago, those bikes seem so antiquated (and that ebay bike is not 5 years old).

i ride an '02 enduro w/ an '04 TALAS, and i'm having a hard time figuring out what's so antiquated about it. rides fine to me. i don't think an '07 bike would make me ride faster or better.
