saw this on a local board, everybody that can should show up.

I just got this email from Dan McDonald at CAMBA, please attend this very important meeting as this is one of 2 places to ride all winter long. Closure of the area would remove a training element to several up and coming XC and DH racers. Please just provide presence, thats it. This will affect Agony, Lil Moab and Lil Maui, the shuttle line basically.

I need help. December 12 is the next Syncline meeting
and we need to get the word out that we need as many mountain bikers
THERE as possible!!!! Here's what I need help with:

Design a flyer to hang up around our local
communities. (email me if you would do this!!)

People to hang up the flyer in their favorite
spots...I will send out the flyer once designed.

Call all your riding buddies and tell them these
meetings, specifically DEC. 12, will decide the fate of biking at the
Syncline, east of Bingen, WA, in the Gorge (Coyote Wall). This is IT!
We need everyone 6 pm, Dec. 12 (Wed), Pioneer Center, White Salmon, behind the Post Office.

Come to the Dec 12 meeting!!!

Let me know if you can design the flyers, or other
ideas to spread the word...we are looking at getting an IMBA alert sent
out, too...I've cut and pasted the original flyer from the Forest Service
below for anyone who hasn't seen it...

Thanks!

The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Begins
Public Participation for the Coyote Wall (Syncline) Trail Project

HOOD RIVER, - On November 14, 2007, 6:00 p.m., the
Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, USDA Forest Service, will begin the public participation process for planning a trail system in
the Coyote Wall (Syncline) and Catherine Creek area. It will be the
first of a series of three meetings to collaboratively work with
stakeholders and concerned citizens to formalize a trail system in the area. The meetings will be held at the Pioneer Center in White Salmon,
Washington. The Forest Service has acquired several thousand acres
of land since 1987 in the Burdoin Mountain, Coyote Wall and
Catherine Creek areas. The area has become very popular destination for recreation users, particularly mountain bikers and hikers. Numerous
user trails and routes have developed over the past several years. The trails are located on a mix of public and private lands with some trails
showing visible signs of erosion and impacts to adjacent natural and cultural resources.

“The purpose of these collaborative meetings is to
develop a proposed trail system (non-motorized) that would recognize and address current uses, respect private property, provide a variety of
recreation experiences, protect adjacent sensitive resources,
and be sustainable (minimize resource damage),” said Dan Harkenrider,
Area Manager.

The proposed system would then analyzed through the
National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) process.
Subsequent collaborative meetings will be held on the
evenings of November 20th and December 12th at the Pioneer
Community Center.

For more please contact Stan Hinatsu at (541-308-1708) or by
email (shinatsu@fs.fed.us).

I can assure you I will have representatives there (I'm outta town) showing them NWD8's Bonus Features with the new Oakley video called "Have You Seen It" that clearly was filmed there and will become even more popular. Cedric Gracia said "These trails are unbelievable!" Thanks for reading this and helping me get the work out.

That's good to hear, a local rider down there turned me onto Siouxon when i was in Portland for a bachelor party. During that time he was saying that the gravity section is ok but that the XC in the back was some of the best trails around especially considering the weather is so good all year around.

i'm glad that it'll be around so i can check it ALL out....
